Devon Distillery has been producing award-winning rum since our earliest years. Our Dappa — an English grape-marc spirit — and our broader rum portfolio have given us the depth of technical knowledge to develop custom rum at any scale and in any style.
From an unaged white rum for a cocktail bar to a golden barrel-aged expression for a premium gift range, we approach each rum project with the same care as our own brands.
What We Can Make
Clean and versatile — ideal for cocktail bars, hospitality accounts, and mixed-serve focused brands.
Short barrel rest for colour and warmth — approachable, sippable, broad appeal.
Extended barrel ageing for depth, complexity, and premium positioning in retail and on-trade.
Warming spice blends over a rum base — a strong performer in gifting and the on-trade.
Fruit, coconut, botanical — we develop the infusion profile to match your brief exactly.
Have a concept that doesn't fit neatly into a category? Tell us — we'll make it work.
Recipe Development
Every custom rum project starts with a brief. We take you through a structured development process — discussing target flavour profile, intended serve and market, and what makes your brand distinct — before we begin recipe work.
Production runs use copper pot and column still configurations depending on your target style, and all trial batches translate directly to production.
Stock Bottle Styles
Held in stock for faster turnaround. Round bottles run more easily on the labelling machine, which keeps labour costs down. Other shapes and sizes sourced to order.
Stoppers & Closures

Vinolok glass stoppers are 100% recyclable. Wooden corks add warmth and craft character; heat shrink and wax sealing add premium theatre.
Ageing & Finishing
We hold a selection of casks on-site for ageing and finishing, including ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and virgin oak. Barrel ageing can be included in your production brief — we'll advise on which cask type suits your target flavour and how long you'll need.
Shorter finishing runs in small format casks are also available for faster colour and flavour development without extended warehousing time.
Bottling & Packaging
We bottle, seal, label, and cap everything in-house — delivering finished, duty-paid spirits ready for your on-trade licence, retail partner, or e-commerce fulfilment. We work with your designer or connect you to our packaging partners.
Volume & Pricing
Our minimum run is 20 litres — low enough for a boutique hospitality programme or limited-edition release. Standard production runs range from 200L upward. Contact us for a no-obligation quote based on your volume and specification.
